This gorgeous black real leather bracelet has a small pawprint section in the clasp that can be set with ashes. Unfortunately the space is too small for hair or fur to set nicely so it is recommended for ashes.
Please note that fingerprints must be good clear images with clear white space between the lines, overinked, or smudged prints unfortunately will not work. A section of the print will be enlargered to show the detail and cover the whole of the selected clasp. For hand, foot or pawprints these will be resized to fit a miniature version of the entire print on the clasp. For handwriting this will also be resised, it may be necessary to edit it to fit onto multiple lines. I recommend only 2-3 words for the best results.
If you would like a similar piece made with hair or fur, I recommend looking at the heart or rectangle options.
Available in sizes 19-22cm As a general guide: 19cm = small womens 20cm = average womens/ small mens 21cm = average mens 22cm = large mens
The measurement of the bracelet is taken laid out flat, the thickness of the bracelet means that the fit will be slightly tighter when the bracelet is closed. I recommend ordering 1-2cm larger than the actual wrist size for a comfortable fit.
You may send your ashes/hair in a small sealed bag (the address will be supplied in your order confirmation email) or order a colection kit which will include a small bag to put your ashes in and a pre addressed return envelope. We do not generally recommend real leather for everyday wear, it needs to be cared for and allowed to breath away from the skin every so often, please see our leather care tab for more detailed information. If you prefer a product that you can wear everyday with minimal care, I highly recommend chosing the Stainless steel Bracelet with rectangle ashes clasp
Leather Bracelet Care Guide
We want your leather bracelet to last you many years, however if you have not owned a leather bracelet before you may not be familiar with how to care for one. Here are some care tips for keeping it in good condition.
1. Do not allow the bracelet to get wet. The most common cause of damage to leather bracelets is water damage. Always remove your bracelet for showering, swimming, washing up, bathing the kids or the dog etc. Signs of water damage include the bracelet becoming sticky/tacky to touch, eventually the braided strands will become weak and break. 2. Clean your bracelet after each wear and condition it every 2-3 months. The bracelet should be wiped clean with a dry or very slightly damp cloth, to remove any dirt, sweat and skin oils that could damage it. Do not allow the bracelet to become wet and if you do use a damp cloth make sure the band is fully air dried before putting it back on, never use heat to dry leather. Every 2-3 months use a specialist leather cleaner and conditioner to keep your bracelet in the best possible condition.
3. Avoid heat and humid conditions. When you remove your bracelet to shower, leave it in another room away from the steam of the hot water. Never wear the bracelet in a steam room or sauna and avoid any direct sunlight or other UV light (e.g. a sunbed) or heat, it is advisable to leave the bracelet at home if you are going on a sunshine holiday, or even on hot days in the UK.
4. Avoid contact with chemicals. Remove your bracelet before applying perfumes and after shaves, moisturisers or sunscreen products and do not put it back on until the skin is fully dry. Do not attempt to clean the bracelet with anything other than specialist leather cleaner.
5. Remove your bracelet when you do any form of rigorous exercise or heavy lifting, and take it off when you go to bed. This minimises the affects of skin oils and sweat on the leather.
6. Give it a break, I understand that you’ll want to wear it every single day, but leather can really benefit from being given a breather. Regularly leave it off for a few days at a time to allow the leather a chance to dry out. You’ll be surprised how much this can lengthen the lifespan of a leather product. 7. Store it carefully. Pop it back in it’s pouch and store in in cool, dry place.
Leather Bracelet Suggested Cleaning & Conditioning Routine:
After Each Wear (Light Clean)
Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth to remove sweat, skin oils, and dust.
Avoid using water unless absolutely necessary.
Monthly (Light Refresh)
Lightly dampen a cloth with distilled water (not tap water) — just enough to feel barely moist.
Wipe the bracelet gently, avoiding soaking.
Immediately pat dry with another soft cloth.
Every 2–3 Months (Deep Care)
Use a pH-balanced leather cleaner sparingly (apply to a cloth, not directly to leather).
Gently wipe the surface to remove deeper dirt.
Apply a small amount of leather conditioner to a clean cloth.
Rub lightly in circular motions to restore flexibility and prevent cracks.
Leave for 10–15 minutes, then buff with a dry cloth.
Important:
Never use baby wipes, alcohol, bleach, or regular soap — they can strip natural oils and damage the leather.
Keep leather away from water, perfumes, and excessive sunlight.
How much ashes do you need? I generally ask for around a teaspoon of ashes, although that is way more than I actually need it gives me a good amount to be able to pick out the very best ashes for your jewellery.
How do I send the ashes to you? You can choose whether to receive and ashes collection kit or whether to send them yourself. My ashes collection kit contains a small bag to put your ashes into, and a larger one to ensure extra protection in the post. It also includes an envelope to return the ashes in.
Where do I send the ashes to? My address will be provided in the confirmation email after you order.
Can I deliver the ashes by hand? Most customers send their ashes via royal mail, however if you would prefer to deliver them by hand, you are welcome to do so as long as the ashes are well labelled, you can pop them through my letterbox at any time.
Can I collect my finished item? All orders will be posted out by Royal mail. I do not offer a collection service. This is due to the fact that I cannot be disturbed when I am in the middle of making someones precious memorial jewellery.
What happens to any leftover ashes? Any leftover ashes will be returned to you unless you request for me to store them. If you think you might like to order more jewellery in the future and do not want to keep sending your ashes backwards and forwards in the post, I am happy to store up to a teaspoon worth of ashes for you. All ashes are stored in well labelled bags attached to your original order details. If you wish to use ashes in future please make sure you keep a note of the order number.
Can you set hair or pet fur instead of ashes? Some items can have hair or pet fur instead of ashes. Please be aware that not all hair will show up in resin, see the colour options tab for more details.
How long does it take? Please see the delivery tab for more information on how long our ashes jewellery takes to make.
Can I come and choose my jewellery in person? Lasting Touch is an online business and I do not keep product samples available to view. Most of the items you see on my website and social media pages are of customer orders, so I no longer have them. If you want to see additional photos of a particular item, I can send you some by email, please just ask.
Standard turnaround times on this items are from the date I receive your inclusions. This is not guaranteed and at busy times it can take longer. Our busiest times are generally around Christmas, Mother's Day and Father's Day in the UK. If you need to guarantee that you receive your item for a specific date, please select one of the priority turnaround options available. The selected turnaround time will begin from the date that I receive your inclusions, and not from the date you place the order.
Standard postage is using Royal Mail's tracked48 service which is usually delivered within 2-3 days. You can upgrade to tracked24 or Special Delivery at checkout. If you wish to upgrade after ordering, please contact me.
If you need your order quickly, you may prefer to send your inclusions yourself rather than waiting to receive a collection kit. This is absolutely fine, please ensure that they are labelled with your name, address and order ID number (this is the 4 digit number at the top of your order confirmation email. Please do not send the receipt number from the payment email). If you have requested a collection kit, this will be posted out to you within 2 working days and should be with you within a week. Please simply follow the instructions in the kit and return to me in the envelope provided.
Please choose from one of the colour options in the drop down menu. Ashes will work with any of the colour options. For hair or pet fur I recommend choosing from the pearl options for the best effect. Please be aware that very fine, light coloured or grey hair does not always show up very well in the resin, it may be difficult to see it in the finished piece. Dark hair generally works best. I have added my most popular colours to the chart, however I do have more colours available if you don't see exactly what you are looking for. Please scroll through the images to see some examples of the different colours. If you don't see the particular colour that you want, you can select to have a custom colour mixed.
Please note that I do not guarantee to match 'birthstone' colours as these can vary greatly and natural gemstones will never look the same as resin created stones. I may be able to produce a colour that is similar to a particular birthstone, but it will not be an exact match. There is a small additional charge for opal colours, just due to the cost of the material. I use a high quality synthetic opal to ensure that I get consistent colours and effects. Opal is a stunning material that produces an iridescent shine, you will often see flecks of greens and blue in all of the opal colours, even if you choose pink or purple for example. this is the natural effect of opal.
All of the mica powders that I use are also 100% ethically sourced.
